Beneficiary Handbooks
The beneficiary handbooks below, offered in both Word and PDF formats, are available for counties to use and customize. CalMHSA has assisted with providing translation of these Department of Health Care Services handbooks into the following languages: Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian, Chinese (traditional and simplified), Farsi, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mien, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
The handbooks for Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian, Chinese (both traditional and simplified), Farsi, Hmong, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese were updated in late 2023 and are identified as such. The Hindi, Japanese, Laotian, Mien, Punjabi, Thai and Ukrainian handbooks were translated in early 2023 but were not translated in late 2023; counties that require these languages will be responsible for translations.
Subsequent updates of the translated handbooks will be available to counties for a fee.
