Annual Report Spotlight: Big Impact Through Local Grants
CalMHSA’s support in administering local grants for county behavioral health departments has helped improve linkages to housing, food, and employment services, while offering additional mental health resources to their clients. In 2024-25, serving, serving Sacramento, Tulare, Sutter-Yuba, and Sonoma counties as well as the Tri-Cities, some highlights included:
- Administered $10.5 million in grants
- 50 community-based organizations
- Awardees hosted over 1,500 events
- Reached more than 20,000 individuals with culturally relevant mental wellness programs
In Los Angeles County, CalMHSA fostered community engagement during Mental Health Awareness Month with $4.2 million in grants to 67 organizations that hosted 97 local events in more than 20 languages.
