Clinical Supervision

Remote Clinical Supervision | Motivo Video Introduction »

CalMHSA’s partnership with a provider successful in scaling remote clinical supervision services in California is making great inroads to ensure:

  • Counties with licensed supervisor shortages can secure essential supervision for their clinical staff.
  • Counties can separate clinical supervision from administrative supervision.
  • Staff receive supervision that is 100% dedicated to their clinical needs.

Beyond Supervision
Virtual clinical supervisors connect through a HIPAA-compliant platform. More than just supervision, this flexible solution offers staff improved skill sets; fresh perspectives and learning approaches; actionable suggestions to implement with clients; and confidence in supervisors who have been trained on Medi-Cal client populations within county behavioral health.

Hands-on Solution for Counties
Counties purchase remote individual supervision hours for pre-licensed staff and then meet with and select the supervisor best suited for their staff. A county-level portal offers a dashboard of supervision hours for each staff, with options to purchase triad supervision (two associates, one supervisor) or group supervision (three to eight associates, one supervisor).
