Two New Counties Join EHR Collective, Conference Highlights Future Possibilities

CalMHSA’s collective of counties using the SmartCare EHR met last month in Sacramento for two days of learning and sharing ideas. With a theme of Shaping Insights, Unlocking Possibilities, the event focused on current best practices as well as looking toward the future to continue meeting the needs of behavioral health clients.

Currently 27 counties around the state are using CalMHSA’s EHR, including newest additions Napa and Sierra.

More than 120 attendees from 26 counties attended the September conference. Sessions highlighted everything from smart AI adoption to state reporting, using Power BI for fiscal insights, deep dives into billing, imagining the future of EHR training, payment reform myth busting, and inpatient functionality, among others. County users participated in panel discussions on inpatient functionality and CalAIM changes.
