Under the Behavioral Health Services Act (the BHSA), the Department of Health Care Services requires counties to report non-Medi-Cal person-level encounter data. These new data will reflect more of the investments needed to uplift the people being served by county behavioral health.
Because capturing this Individual Service Level (ISL) data represents a substantial new initiative for counties and providers, CalMHSA has developed a suite of training and technical resources.
