Medi-Cal Provider Training

Medi-Cal funding through county mental health partnerships can be a sustainable and viable resource for community-based organizations (CBOs). To assist them in learning more about how to become Medi-Cal certified, CalMHSA, in collaboration with DHCS, has created a comprehensive on-demand training.

Free and self-paced, this course explains everything from the structure to the financing and administration of the Medi-Cal system. It also clearly explains the opportunities and challenges, helping CBOs learn the critical information they need to determine whether participation is a strategic fit for them.

The training is ideal for leaders, decision-makers, and senior CBO staff who are:

  • Exploring Medi-Cal as a potential revenue stream
  • Seeking clarity before deciding to pursue county mental health plan contracts and Medi-Cal certification
  • Wanting to understand how their existing services could fit within Medi-Cal’s requirements
