Behavioral Health Fiscal Academy Webinars Now Available on Demand
CalMHSA new Behavioral Health Fiscal Academy – nine on-demand webinars with slides and course materials – is now available for download and on-demand viewing. In November and December, CalMHSA hosted the sessions for new and intermediate-level county behavioral health finance professionals, with the goal of building a foundation and providing a framework for understanding funding streams, reimbursement methodologies, forecasting strategies, and regulatory obligations.
The series drew 720 attendees from 54 counties. Unique in its approach, the curriculum features actionable guidance focused on giving participants the confidence and clarity to handle real-world fiscal challenges. While each session includes brief historical and conceptual context, key emphasis is on functional “how-to” skills that county finance professionals need right now to interpret, manage, and apply behavioral health funding structures.
