Housing and Behavioral Health: A Guidebook for California Counties
In partnership with the Department of Health Care Services, CalMHSA has developed a new practical tool specifically to assist counties with implementing housing interventions. Housing and Behavioral Health: A Guidebook for California Counties is available for download from the CalMHSA site.
The guidebook provides an overview of housing systems and BHSA housing options, as well as a list of housing resources and funding sources. It also:
- Explores and clarifies the housing pathways for behavioral health clients
- Assists staff, providers, and stakeholders in working with their housing systems
- Aims to provide clarity and direction for county behavioral health to implement housing interventions with checklists, guides, and best practices
- Supports BHSA implementation
