This partnership between CalMHSA and Sutter Health provides training for selected staff referred by counties and Sutter Health for training on the Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act as it relates to custodial holds, related documentation, and advisement.
CalMHSA assists counties by:
- Contracting with Linda Garret, Esq. of Garrett Law LLP on behalf of counties and Sutter Health
- Maximizing workforce efforts by standardizing LPS training across counties
- Administering training through CalMHSA’s learning management system and live training via a virtual platform
